Arizona’s community college district are seeing the benefits of legalized recreational marijuana. The voter initiative that had legalized recreational marijuana, Prop 207, had stated that 1/3 of the excise tax received would be set aside for community colleges. 2021 was the first year for recreational marijuana sales in the state, and the state close to 100 million dollars in excise tax for the year.
