Metrc, the largest seed-to-sale company in the United States has secured three more government contracts in the last two weeks. Metrc has been the largest cannabis plant tracking system for several years. They hold more exclusive state contracts with state governments than any other cannabis tracking systems. Metrc, announced that they had signed their 18th state government contract on March 10th with the state of New Jersey, who legalized recreational adult use cannabis. One week later, on March 17th, Metrc announced they secured their 19th state government contract, this time with the state of Minnesota for their medical marijuana program. And then again, yesterday, March 23rd, Metrc announced they had locked in another one, with their 20th state government contract, for the state of South Dakota’s medical marijuana program. Metrc’s system uses radio-frequency identification tags to trace plants through their growth and harvest. This allows the grower to be monitored by the state, in order to make sure they remain in compliance and accurately report their data. Metrc News – Metrc Comments are closed.
