The Portland Business Journal reported that Oregon has the cheapest cannabis in the country. Data gathered from the “Price of Weed” website looked at 37 states with legal adult-use or medical cannabis. They found that the median price among those states was $332 an ounce for cannabis flower. Oregon came in with the lowest price in the country, averaging at $210 an ounce. The next best price was their neighbor to the north, Washington state, with a price that was roughly 10% higher, at $234 an ounce. In third place, Colorado averaged $242 an ounce. California came in fourth, at $249 an ounce. On the other end of the spectrum, the most expensive prices found among markets with both medical and recreational sales, were in Illinois, with the price per ounce at $352. But the most expensive of all the states, were those with medical marijuana only. And the pricey-est of them all, was North Dakota. They had an average price per ounce of flower at $382, which is edging pretty close to double the prices found in Oregon. Comments are closed.
