The National Cannabis Risk Management Association (NCR1MA) announced the launch of a new health insurance program specifically designed just for companies in the cannabis industry. The new program is called Health ReLeaf, and it boasts that it can save businesses up to 20% within the first year. They take a different approach by actively getting involved with the company staff. They utilize an employee health assessment which helps them identify known risks, and then they fund those risks, while insuring the unknown. The Health ReLeaf brokers will work to find ways to identify reductions in claims, high-cost specialty drugs, fraud, and waste. The program will also help cannabis companies to reduce risks by helping implement measures to promote general wellness, primary care utilization, and abuse prevention.
